Blue Nile Furniture Factory (Fortune Enterprise) is a well established furniture manufacturing company with a portfolio of established well-known brands of office, household and school furniture products. It is one of the oldest, established in 1961, wood and metal furniture manufacturers in Ethiopia and historically a leading supplier of institutional furniture. In the last quarter of 2004, the factory (under new ownership and management) has embarked on restructuring and recognizing the company to improve operational performance and to significantly increase its market share. The core vision of the enterprise under the new ownership is to hold a leading position in the annual ETB 542 million (US 62 million) furniture markets.
