Dave Fuhr, of Fuhr International, will take part in "The Future of Wood Finishing," a wide-ranging roundtable discussion addressing the future of wood finishing. Understanding what finishes are appropriate for which application, adhering to EPA regulations, and being aware of the technology available to achieve a superior finish is crucial to your success.
Dave Fuhr will discuss the advances and understanding of water-based products for wood including the types of water-based products; choosing the right product for your application, preparation of the surface; how to work with stains that dry fast, and much more. Al Guecia, a technical application specialist for Seagrave Coatings Corp., will introduce 100% sprayable solid UV coatings for the small and mid-size shop and discuss the advantages and restraints when using UV coatings. He will also discuss the complete coating systems including stains, barrier coats, UV sealers, topcoats and the future of UV coating technologies
Other speakers, to be announced soon, will discuss the ever-changing EPA regulations regarding wood finishing as well as the emerging technology incorporated into finishing machinery that will change the way manufacturers conduct their wood finishing operations.
