The forestry bureau of Chongqing confirmed bamboo industry's development goal of the whole city a few days ago, by 2010, the total scale of the area of the bamboo grove of the whole city will be up to 177333.333 hectares, output value of bamboo stry will top 4 billion yuan.
According to planning, 2006 - 2010, Chongqing city build 106666.667 bamboo grove production base in relying mainly on west area of Chongqing 22 district (county , city), form the scale of area of 177333.333 hectares of bamboo grove. In the Developed economy is enclosed in the city , will introduce and develop and view and admire bamboos and ecological travel industry of bamboo grove especially, develop travel around sea of bamboos , travel around garden of the bamboo , travel around village of the bamboo , taste such culture of the bamboo as the bamboo shoot meal ,etc. , bamboo industry's travel project in a more cost-effective manner. In the economic corridor of the west of Chongqing , make the national famous papermaking bamboo thick liquid raw materials forest production base. In the ecological economic zone of reservoir area of Three Gorges , will give priority to ecological shelterbelt network and material and use the bamboo base, build the centre of processing industry of bamboo timber of reservoir area.
