The Portuguese countryside has been ravaged by a series of wild fires.
Firefighters have managed to contain some of the blazes but others are still out of control.
Police think they may have been started deliberately and they have arrested more than 70 people.
In ten hours, 700 hectares of forest in the Serra de Estrela National Park went up in smoke.
The largest wild-fire to hit Portugal so far this year was in the Vila Pouca de Aguiar region, where a state of emergency was declared.
An elderly man died and five other people were injured.
Across the country, more than one-thousand firefighters backed by 24 aircraft were tackling separate fires in the centre and north of the country |
