| Guangdong afforests nearly 40 million mu newly in the first half of this year |

From the beginning of this year, the forest department of Guangdong has regarded establishing the forestry ecological county, building the forestry ecological province as the goal, popularize advanced and applicable construction forest technology actively, strengthen and build forest quality control , accelerate the ecological public welfare forest system and construction of base of goods forest, make remarkable achievements. As of June 29, the whole province finishes the afforestation area 39. 44,000 hectares, the slash upgrades 1.618 million mu, close hillsides to facilitate afforestation newly 3.26,000 hectares, transform 73.667 in the low yield forest , middle young growth foster 87. 64666 hectares.
All parts of the whole province carry out " the voluntary afforestation regulations of the whole people in Guangdong Province " conscientiously , fully utilize such various forms as broadcast , TV , newspapers and periodicals , slogans ,etc., propagate the whole people's voluntary afforestation and importance of afforestation in a more cost-effective manner, have aroused the enthusiasm that the whole society runs to the whole people of the forestry and afforests further. According to incomplete statistics, up till now, there 19.0839 million people of the whole province participate in plant , and plant 64.2155 million trees. |
