Indonesia’s Only Established Woodworking Show Returns to Jakarta in April 2004 |
2004/1/16
Woodworking and Forestry Indonesia the 11th International Woodworking Machinery, Timber Processing and Forestry Exhibition is the only show for the industry in Indonesia with a 22 year track record of success.
“From time to time new shows try to proliferate and confuse the market but are continually being cancelled or postponed,” said Exhibition Manager Grace Sabander in Jakarta, “But Woodworking and Forestry Indonesia has a successful formula, developed over 22 years, and continues to provide the industry with a truly international showcase of woodworking technology and supplies.”
The last event in 2002 attracted 351 of the world’s leading companies from 29 countries and the new lower pricing structure, designed to attract working machinery, was a major success and has been significantly enhanced for the 2004 show.
The organisers PT Pamerindo Buana Abadi together with their contractors have also reduced the cost of shipping, on-site handling, power and compressed air. “We want to build on the success of the 2002 event and make it even more cost effective for exhibitors to display working machinery,” said Miss Sabander.
The Indonesian economy grew by almost 4% last year, foreign investment is up strongly in the first months of 2003 and the Indonesian Rupiah was the best performing Asian currency in 2002. With surrounding markets flat the international machinery manufacturers have recognised the potential of the Indonesian market and many of the leading names have already confirmed their intention to return on 2004.
At the request of the international woodworking machinery associations, Woodworking and Forestry Indonesia was moved from its old autumn slot to the new spring dates and will remain in April in 2004 (21-24 April).
The organisers anticipate large exhibitor groups from most of the major technology supply nations and will provide comprehensive and cost effective national group packages for companies wishing to exhibit in their national pavilion.
The 4th International exhibition of Machinery and Accessories for Furniture production - FurniTek Indonesia 2004 will again take place alongside Woodworking and Forestry Indonesia providing a truly comprehensive event for the entire industry in South East Asia’s most important market. |
